Corinthian Broadcast Crystal Receiver

The Corinthian is a handsome broadcast crystal radio receiver (550-1700kHz, with some 40m shortwave reception after dark). Its antique mahogany box and antique headphones, plus vintage dial, slider, switch points, and other antique fixings lend this crystal receiver set classic elegance. This crystal receiver's original circuitry ensures good selectivity and sensitivity. Comes with cat's whisker, galena crystal, and complete instructions. A mini-amplifier is included to help beginners get used to crystal radio operation.

Price: $275.

A kit is available for $225. You do the wiring and finish the wood. You will need a soldering gun, solder, sandpaper, and wood finish of your choice. You will need to read electronic schematic diagrams, solder, and make a simple wire antenna and ground. Building and operating instructions are included.
